A Kooka Kleen Safety Note
Dave had to do a professional oven clean on a Large Range the other day for a regular customer. He also knows the customers daughter as he has to clean her oven as well.
His customer was relating to him how her daughter was having trouble with her Ceramic Hob after she had dropped a saucepan on it and cracked the glass. The damage was such that some glass fragments had fallen inside so the hob surface was holed.
She had carried on using the ceramic hob as it was still working ok, that was until a friend came over for a coffee, whose husband happens to be an electrician. He took one look at the hob and banned her from using it again – instantly.
The friend’s husband explained there was a chance that water from any pan boiling over could get down the hole and then electrocute her when she was touching the handle of the pan or any of the hob controls.
Kooka Kleen recommends that you do not use any Ceramic, Glass or old style Electric Ring hobs if they have sustained any damage as it could be extremely dangerous to you or your loved ones.
Always check your Hob is in good condition, have it professionally cleaned by a reputable oven cleaner and always have it repaired if damages occur.
When Dave cleans an oven he always keeps a keen eye out for anything that isn’t right and tightens any loose nuts, bolts or screws as he works around the appliance out of common courtesy as he says its all part of the Kooka Kleen service.
